I just can't see it. Can you?
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . NPCP?
(A long term project may require a nice 5-speed and motor from a legacy.)
Wrong year range to pursue?
Difficulty finding it in the woods?
I'm printing out maps to visit. This is not the first Camo-painted Subaru I've considered. One Brat was painted with house paint.
They've had it listed for several weeks, so it takes a unique customer to find this appealing.
Of course. It has to clear the mechanical testing, though.
I guess a range of $600-$1200 as a offering isn't too insulting?
Are we to consider, stepping back a bit, whether the paint job is added value?

hmm, they don't include much on milage, condition etc.
but, from the pics it looks nice, no usual rear quarter rust. I had a couple of this generation of legacy, loved them! I'd say paint job is not added value, but the price seems ok :D

Heh, yeah, there's a few more normal ones out in the market for similar price. But I think I may still hold out for a 02-03 Bugeye wagon. Just have to find it in 5-speed.

Can't see if there is the usual rust (HURR DURR), but if the mechancals check out, and it has under 200k miles on it, I say NP.
If you don't mind the paint job (which is a rattle can or 12 away from being changed), or lack of airbags, pick it up. Can't ask for a better winter beater.

So I google street view and the car's not there, but.. And that reminds me of what I prefer..
But, it's five minutes up a road I'm passing by anyway, may as well have a look. Rust pixels.

oh well, if your budget potentially includes a bugeye wagon, then yes, for sure hold out for that!

Well, it's a preference. Reality, I'm happy with the Outbacks, and less of that 'rare' vibe to a seller. I don't know what your market is like, but I figure I better have something nice at the upper limits of $4K. Preferrably $1.2k and a weekend of parts swapping.

my market is stupid, Denver CO, so subarus sell for I'd guess at LEAST $1000 more than most other places.

Yeah, I'm in a cluster of Colorado ish things. (Western North Carolina) so Subarus have been part of the landscape, sometimes literally, for decades.
